BizTalk 2010 WCF LOB Oracle Adapter - Oracle Data Access Client

Installation and configuration

If you are experiencing run-time errors with the Oracle Data Access client, the following steps should remedy the issue

Download the Oracle 11g ODAC 11.1.0.7.20 Universal Installer Version  and the 64-bit ODAC 11.2 Release 3 (11.2.0.2.1) for Windows x64  from Oracle.
  1. Extract both archives.
  2. Run Setup.exe in the ODAC1110720 folder
  3. Follow the steps as shown below.

Select the Oracle Data Provider for .NET and the Oracle Instant Client as shown below.

Next

 Open the ODAC112021Xcopy_x64 folder.
  1. Open a Command Prompt Here by using Shift + Right Mouse button.
  2. Run Install.bat
  3. Enter: install.bat all <drive>:\oracle myhome
When completed
  1. Run the BizTalk 2010 WCF Adapter Setup and select Repair.
  2. Do the same for the BizTalk 2010 WCF Adapter 64 bit.
If the BizTalk Host Instance for the Oracle Port is running, restart it.

    Thanks for the info but there is one more step to follow after the installation:

    Close and open the BizTalk administration console!

    I have searched for hours until I decided to restart the admin console and everything works like a charm!
